Vincent Dunoyer
From 1990 to 1994 Vincent Dunoyer was frequently in the spotlight as a dancer with Rosas and later went his own way as a choreographer. Over the last ten years he has built up a remarkably consistent oeuvre. His solos and duets repeatedly raise the same questions. Firstly the question of whether dance is born on the stage or is only truly complete when the spectator watches it. Dunoyer also wonders whether the experience of dance is defined by the performance or rather by the choreography. And lastly he wonders about the significance and role of the pictures, such as photos, that remain once the dance is over. The good thing is that Dunoyer does not ask these questions theoretically, but lets them arise out of the practice itself, out of the creation of performances, as if in passing, poetically. The questions Dunoyer asks do not exist outside his work, but in his work they are insistent. Rosas provided support for Dunoyer’s work from the start of his solo career and produced Sister. This is no coincidence, since Dunoyer is here digging into Rosas’ past.

Salva Sanchis
Salva Sanchis was born in Manresa, a town near Barcelona. He followed theatre studies at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. In 1995 he moved to Belgium to study at P.A.R.T.S., where he graduated among the first group of students of the school. There he created several solos and group pieces. His graduation project Less than a moment, a piece with five dancers, was presented in several places in Europe. Next to his own choreographic work, in the period 2000-04, Salva collaborated regularly with choreographer Marc Vanrunxt and video artist Elke Vandermeerschen, as well as with visual artist Kristof Van Gestel. In 2003, Salva joined the production Bitches Brew / Tacoma Narrows by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. The encounter with Anne Teresa led to a choreographical collaboration of the two in the later productions of Rosas in 2005: Desh and Raga for the Rainy Season / A Love Supreme. In 2004 he created Salva Sanchis / Bruno Vansina Double Duet Live and in 2005 Double Trio Live. In 2007 Rosas produced Salva’s own creation Still Live.

Fumiyo Ikeda
Fumiyo Ikeda started her dance career with Rosas in 1983 and today she still stands faithfully at side of the choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. Talk about a service record! Nevertheless, during the course of her career she has also chosen her own direction. Last year for example she created the confrontational Nine Finger together with Benjamin Verdonck and Alain Platel. In 2009 she appeared in a collaborative piece with the British playwright and director Tim Etchells, who is famous for his work for Forced Entertainment.
