Open Call: Rosas Artist Residency 2026–27
Publié le 08.06.2026, 23:43
Rosas offers the annual Artist Residency programme to support emerging professional artists working at the intersection of music, dance, and choreography in the development of their artistic practice.
This residency provides dedicated time and space for artistic research and creation, with a focus on exploring structural relationships between sound, rhythm, and the moving body.
Residency Periods
Residencies will take place during selected weeks between September 2026 and June 2027, depending on studio availability. Public holidays and internal closure days are excluded.
Who Can Apply
We invite emerging artists (individuals or collectives) with a clear artistic vision who are working in the field of contemporary dance and performance and have a strong interest in the interplay between music and movement. Applicants should be in the early stages of their professional careers and focused on creating and developing new work.
Selection
Only the first 50 complete and correctly submitted applications will be taken into consideration.
We prioritize projects in the early and mid-stages of creation. This includes artistic research, experimentation, and the development of movement, choreographic, and musical material. Please note that we do not provide technical residencies and cannot support final production phases, technical rehearsals, or premiere preparation.
We prioritize artists who opt for longer residency periods and demonstrate a commitment to sustained collaboration. As Rosas receives funding from the Flemish government, at least one of the selected residents will be based in Flanders or Brussels.
Applications will be reviewed by an internal and external jury, and the results will be announced in the first week of July 2026.
