Book presentation: Quand elle danse
Published on 29.08.2025, 14:20
Quand elle danse is the result of two years of conversations between Laure Adler and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. In this collection of interviews, De Keersmaeker reflects on her childhood in the Flemish countryside, her path toward the arts — from her admission to Maurice Béjart’s Mudra school to her formative years in New York — and the evolution of her career as a choreographer.
She discusses the challenges and risks of the profession — in terms of collaboration, transmission, and innovation through her school P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) — along with social and human reflections that emerge from her creations. We come to understand that, for her, dance is at once a social, intimate, and spiritual act.
At Théâtre de Namur, Estelle Spoto will host an interview with Laure Adler and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker about the book, as part of the L’Intime Festival de Namur.
