Rosas

The jury of Het Theaterfestival 2018 selects Mitten wir im Leben sind/Bach6Cellosuiten by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Jean-Guihen Queyras and Rosas. This is the seventh selection for De Keersmaeker and Rosas in the last eight years. In recent years, the judges have chosen A Love Supreme, Work/Travail/Arbeid, Vortex Temporum, Partita 2, Cesena and En Atendant.  

In Mitten wir im Leben sind/Bach6Cellosuiten, Bach’s famous cello suites, performed in their totality by the world-renowned cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras, are faceted, challenged, and performed through a choreography for three male and two female dancers, De Keersmaeker herself one of them.

The jury of the festival celebrated the collaboration between the choreographer and the musician as “the collaboration of the year, a match made in heaven”.
