Ready to dance?
This season, Rosas is launching a brand-new series of dance courses for adults (18+). Whether you're a complete beginner or simply looking to reconnect with your body, you're warmly welcome. No prior experience is needed — our experienced instructors will guide you every step of the way, helping you explore movement, express yourself, and enjoy the joy of dancing.
1. Kinesthetic Dance on Tuesday
Reconnect to your body through dance
This course invites you to learn about the human body and use this awareness in dancing. You will discover different body/anatomical systems such as skeletal, organ, blood, endocrine etc. and their interconnectedness. These learnings will be immediately put in practice through touch, imagination exercises, use of voice, dance improvisation and contact dancing. We will explore the body in movement through concepts such as spaciousness, openings, omni-directionality, letting go, balancing, weight, breath, and availability.
By attending this course, you can improve your alignment, which will let you feel more freedom, ease and safety in your movement. You will also learn to connect to your surroundings and other people through dance, respecting each other’s boundaries.

2. Contemporary Dance on Tuesday
Explore. Move. Create.
Discover a range of contemporary dance practices in an open and welcoming environment. Each class of this course begins with simple, guided warm-up exercises to awaken the body, enhance joint mobility, build awareness, strength and alignment. While finding breath and fluidity in our movement, we’ll travel through space and explore short movement sequences inspired by various choreographic techniques. Using creative or improvisational tools, we’ll play with movement explorations, rhythm, space, and time, opening the senses to a wide spectrum of contemporary dance vocabularies. Come as you are, with or without previous dance experience. Enjoy moving and expanding within your own capacities and into a diverse musical landscape.
For this course you will have the occasion to work with two different teachers. Depending on the dates, the classes will be given by either Lise Vachon or Cassandre Cantillon.
Lise Vachon is a Canadian-born contemporary dance artist based in Belgium. A graduate of The School of Toronto Dance Theatre and P.A.R.T.S., she has performed and worked with choreographers such as Arco Renz, Michèle Noiret, Dominique Duszynski, Marc Vanrunxt, and Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. As a choreographer, she has created and toured her own work internationally. Lise teaches at P.A.R.T.S., where she is a pedagogical coordinator and tutor, and at Dancingkids at Rosas. She has also worked as a rehearsal director and assistant on major opera productions across Europe.
Cassandre Cantillon began dancing at age six and trained in various dance schools in Brussels. She graduated from P.A.R.T.S. (Performing Arts Research and Training Studios) in 2019. As a performer, she has worked with Rosas, Anton Lachky, Michèle Anne de Mey, Thomas Vantuycom, Femke Gyselink, Ballets Confidentiels, Fatou Traoré, among others.
Alongside her performance work, she shares her practice through workshops internationally, including in Brussels, Stockholm, Montréal, Ghent, Athens, Toulouse, and London.

3. Contemporary dance on Thursday
Moving from Sensation to Expression
This course invites you to explore self-expression through movement and deepen body awareness by tuning into inner sensation. By shifting attention from thinking to sensing, you’ll reconnect with your natural, organic way of moving and learn to trust the body’s innate intelligence.
Through a progressive structure, this dance practice develops somatic and kinesthetic awareness. We begin with a gentle, breath-guided warm-up, then explore different body parts through sensing, strengthening, and releasing. Gradually, movement becomes more dynamic, flowing through space and in relation to others.
Using simple movement qualities such as rolling, sliding, holding, releasing, dropping, and catching, we build towards dance phrases. Creativity, play, and improvisation are encouraged within a space of care and non-judgement.
Anne-Laure Dogot is a professional dancer and contemporary dance teacher. She trained at S.E.A.D. (Austria) and participated in an exchange with NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She danced internationally with Bodhi Project and has since worked as a freelance performer with companies and institutions including Rosas / Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Claire Croizé / ECCE, Liz Roche Company, La Monnaie and the Opéra de Paris.
Alongside her performing career, Anne-Laure is a passionate teacher, certified in GYROKINESIS® and recognized by the FWB. She teaches widely in Belgium and abroad, including at Rosas Dancingkids, P.A.R.T.S, Limerick University, at IPES and Platform K. In 2024, she completed a specialization in Art Therapy at the HELB Ilya-Prigogine, integrating dance and body expression into healing processes.

4. Among Trees on Sundays
A Practice of Slowing Down
This gentle Sunday morning outdoor practice invites you to slow down, reconnect with your senses, and rest in nature. Amid city life and constant stimulation, we often drift away from our bodies and live in states of subtle tension. These sessions offer a spacious pause — a moment to reconnect with ourselves, with others, and with our surroundings through moving, sensing, and resting in our ancestral home: the forest.
Inspired by Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), the practice weaves together mindful movement, rest, and sensory awareness. Guided by Annabel van Acker, each session blends somatic movement, yoga, meditation, slow walking, breathing, gentle dancing, drawing, and moments of stillness. Every session focuses on one of the five senses, offering a slow and grounding practice in Duden Park, Forest/Vorst. By shifting from thinking to sensing, the nervous system is invited to soften and settle. We move with awareness, walk slowly, rest, share tea, draw, and simply be.
Sessions take place outdoors and continue in most weather conditions. In the case of unsafe circumstances, an alternative indoor session will be offered at Rosas.
Annabel Van Acker graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in 2025 and continues to practice and research dance, somatic movement, and body-based studies, including fascia and inner movement, as well as forest bathing. After graduating, she started an internship with KaleidoForest on Yakushima Island, Japan, where she is deepening her understanding of Shinrin-yoku, sustainable development, and their connection to dance and movement practices. Alongside this work, she also teaches classical dance at Rosas Dancingkids, grounding her practice in both tradition and ongoing exploration.
